How can a Teacher BE CERTIFIED?

Certification of Teachers by the  World Movement for Yoga and Ayurveda

One of the most important goals of the World Movement for Yoga and Ayurveda is to create a true Yoga and Ayurveda community. It is under this prospect that the Pedagogical Committee is created, made up of masters with genuine experience who represent several countries members of the Association.

The Pedagogical Committee is constantly reviewing and updating the programmes that should be fulfilled in the centers & schools where the Yoga or Ayurveda teacher's training is given. The said programmes respect all lines and styles and are set up taking into account the idiosyncracy of each and every lineage, tradition and the inherited teachings, as well as the personal experiences.

- If you are a Yoga teacher with a degree from a World Movement for Yoga and Ayurveda Certified School you can join as a member and be part of the Census of Certified Teachers listed in the web with their data. 

- If you are a Yoga Teacher non recognized by the World Movement for Yoga and Ayurveda and would like to obtain a certified degree, you can start the procedures.

PROCEDURES:

The Yoga or Ayurveda teachers qualified from a certified World Movement for Yoga and Ayurveda schools can:

  • Send their personal information to be listed in the web, filling in the appropriate Application.
  • The payment of the Annual Fee is compulsary.

The Yoga teachers non-qualified by a World Movement for Yoga and Ayurveda certified schools can:

  • Send the curriculum to the Pedagogical Committee, giving details of his/her trayectory & experience, to start the procedures wich will allow them to obtain the certification. Information to be sent to: secretariat@worldyogayurveda.net

  • Within a period of 30 days, the Pedagogical Committee will send the arrangements & regulations regarded as needed for that case in particular. 

  • If the communication regarding the Certification is positive and  the Committee considers the formation of the teacher adequately proved, it will be enough to pay the Certification Rights and the Annual Fee.

  • If the communication regarding the Certification is negative and the Committee considers his/her formation as non-proved, he/she will received the necessary instructions from a World Movement for Yoga and Ayurveda Certified Senior Formateur in his/her own country to do an exam, if desired. The Exam Rights should be paid, and subsequently the Certification Rights and the Annual Fee. In any case and meanwhile, the said teacher can affiliate and be a part of the World Movement for Yoga and Ayurveda.

CERTIFIED TEACHERS - Benefits

  • Being a certified teacher in close & direct contact with the World Movement for Yoga and Ayurveda, would be eligible as Formateur of the World Movement for Yoga and Ayurveda in their own country.

  • Constant and ongoing advice & formation from the World Movement for Yoga and Ayurveda.

  • The certified teacher is allowed to use the World Movement for Yoga and Ayurveda logo in his/her publications, diplomas and curriculum.

  • A discount of 15% in all conferences, courses, seminars or events organized by the World Movement for Yoga and Ayurveda.

  • Eligibility to attend ongoing proffessional development courses.
